Many companies have seen success with generating fans by fully utilizing social media. In fact it seems crazy if a company didn’t see the value in social media–it’s free! Aunt Jemima has been MIA from television advertising for sometime now. I am pretty sure it has been about five years! According to MediaPost News, the brand activated its social media campaign on February 17.  This digital marketing and social platform campaign including an Aunt Jemima Frozen Breakfast Facebook page and Twitter account. Currently, Aunt Jemima’s Frozen Breakfast Facebook page has 131,389 “Likes.” Through their Facebook page they offer recipes, coupons, videos and pictures. People can comment and display pictures on the wall. Aunt Jemima’s efforts on Facebook and Twitter have really stirred up buzz for the brand and has launched them back into the world of television.

Many companies are leveraging social media to get a grasp on consumers and to create loyalty. Also companies are seeing that they can start with social platforms to jump-start their customer base and it could possibly launch the campaign efforts into different channels.
